Created in 1982 by Robert Vernet, musical director until 2007 and actual president of the organisation, Les Enfants de l'Espoir sing " to help other children grow" in the world, with the proceeds of their concerts and by selling their CD.

 

This action was strengthened in 1988 by the establishement of "Les Parrains de l'Espoir" : more than 1000 children have been saved from the hands of children merchants and misery and went to school.

 

Since 30 years, Les Enfants de l'Espoir have been carried on their mission around the world, in Thaïlande, United States, Moscow, Dakar, Maastricht ... They sang at UN headquarters in New York in front of 250 ambassadors and diplomats, in Vatican in front of the Pope Jean Paul II, but also in the heart of poor villages in the bush of Senegal and Thaïland.

 

In France they are participating in many cultural events and animate great masses.

 

Their repertoire is both the Gregorian music to contemporary variety of sacred music to secular music.

 

The choir is actually direct by Jérôme Girardet originally a singer of Les Enfants de l'Espoir.
