The Orchard Park Chorale

The Orchard Park Chorale is a multi-generational, multi- community chorus of sixty+ members. Founded in 1975, the chorus is a vibrant and consistent source of excellent choral perfromances, a major contributor to the quality of life in Orchard Park and surrounding areas and a model of cooperative and collaborative involvement with other performing arts organizations. The Chorale participates in local arts organizations including Greater Buffalo Cultural Alliance and Arts Services Initiative.
The Chorale presents two concerts per season- often performing with brass or orchestra. This season, the Chorale will present JS Bach's Magnificat in D at its concert on December 15th. The Chorale sings at retirement residences in Orchard Park and at the Roswell Park Cancer Hospital in Buffalo, NY. The Choraler sponsors Summer Sings each summer at its home in Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, Orchard Park, NY. In the recent past, the Chorale has performed Requiem by Faure, Frostiana, with an honors choir of high school students, and Magnificat by Pachelbel.
Membership is open to all who wish to perform high quality music and to work to achieve high quality performances. The music director is Kathleen Keenan-Takakgi, the accompanist is Joanne Hollenbeck. The Assistant conductor is Karen Saxon.
