Victoria O Magnum Mysterium for TTBB?

Hi all,
 
One of my men's choir singers is getting married and he'd like us to sing the Victoria O Magnum at the wedding. While there are plenty of editions of the original voicing (Countertenors aren't part of our normal voicing) and even some transcribed for SSAA (I'm checking to see if one of those might work), I'm curious to know if anyone has arranged the piece for TTBB. If so, would you be willing to share it? Thanks!

Hey all, I am interested in a copy of that as well !  Does anyone know about a website (or composer's website) where I could find polyfony for TTBB ?  I scanned CPDL and IMSLP ... but I am searching for more !

Frank - Why "O magnum Mysterium?"  The text is all wrong for a wedding - it's a lovely piece, but really?  However, if you DO come across a TTBB version of it, please let us all know.

Wow...thanks, Andrew! I'm always worried about how murky a Renaissance motet might sound when lowered substantially for men's voices, but I'll take a closer look and see how it feels. Ron, the groom likes the piece and since it's still Christmas on the wedding day (1/4/14), he thought he could get away with it. Nathan, yes, that's not a problem, but you've identified one of the challenges with revoicing early music for TTBB: Often, the T1 part winds up being too high or the B2 part winds up being too low. If we end up singing it (there's too much music for the service at this point), I'll let everyone know how it worked. Thanks again!

I have a great deal of TTBB Renaissance polyphony, written at original low pitch, that I would be happy to suggest to anyone interested in TTBB 15th - 16th century polyphony. I also have editions of TTBB works ranging from Dufay, Ockeghem, Josquin, Palestrina, Lassus, Tomkins, Tallis, Byrd - these editions are not arrangements; they simply lower the original written pitch by a half or whole step or minor 3rd. From experience I confirm that most of these do not sound murky.
 
One piece in particular is my edition of Palestrina's Sicut cervus (Part i), that is especially compelling. The original pitch is on F; I have two versions - one on Eb, one on D. The Cappella Giulia organ pitch at St. Peters (where Palestrina worked for years) was a half-step low to A 440. HGC performed the Palestrina many many times, on E - it is incredibly beautiful on that pitch. Eb works well too!

I heard the Andrew Miller TTBB arrangement of O Magnum Mysterium by Victoria in concert on Sunday and thought it worked very well and sounded great!

Original pitch of O Magnum is G with one flat. Highest note in Cantus is a D; lowest note in the Bassus is G.  As you may know this is the typical range for so many Renaissance pieces - ie for men and "mezzos". Many times with HGC I have performed pieces that have exactly this range and simply transposed them down a minor 3rd (top note would be B natural; bottom note and E. The "altus part" is an easy second tenor part and the Tenor is a wonderfuly baritone part. It will sound great!
