Bumgarner Joins ACDA Staff

The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Bumgarner as Publications Editor. In this position, Ms. Bumgarner will edit ACDA’s flagship publication, Choral Journal. She will also serve in a supporting editorial role for the International Journal of Research in Choral Singing, ACDA’s scientific research journal, and for ChorTeach, ACDA’s online magazine highlighting practical choral applications and methods.
A native of Wheaton, Illinois, Amanda graduated from Greenville College with degrees in English and religion. Prior to joining the ACDA staff, she was an editor for a large book publisher.
Amanda is a musician, having played violin since elementary school, and still plays weekly with her church orchestra. She is also an active runner and an avid reader.
