unisono score for ssa for choir competition

Dear Friends,

many of you might understand the feeling: being with 2 choirs in a competition and 'what will we sing?'.
I hava a women choir (15 singers) and a youth choir, both very good level, performing on a competition next spring. Very difficult to look for a program for both choirs, ssa, having a different character.
I'm thinking for my women choir to perform an unisono song to open my performance, so the sound of the choir in unisono singing (for me the most difficult in choir singing!) can be heard.
I don't have an idea where to look for. Can anyone help me?

Thanks a lot!

How about something like Piccini's "O notte, o Dea del mistero" (one of many many easily available art songs).   A little wide in range, but with judicious entry and exit of the singers who lack certain notes, should work well in unision.

Look at the opening "Hodie Christus Natus Est" chant of Britten's Ceremony of Carols.

And later when you are looking for SSA 3-part, give a look/listen to my "Let the Children Play", here:

Best of luck in the competition,

Rudy,

Consider the following:
This Little Light of Mine - Wilberg - unison/piano.
Fancie - unison w/divisi at the end - piano. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4kiZoWBKb8

Good Luck,
Rick
