Southern Division Conference: Center-Stage
Date: March 1, 2014
During the 2014 Southern Division Conference, ACDA will present . . .
Albertville High School’s Center-Stage is a one hundred-member show choir including sixty-four singer/dancers, fourteen student crew members, and a twenty-two piece instrumental combo. The Albertville Choral Program was founded in 1985 with ten students. It has steadily grown to encompass more than three hundred students in grades 7–12, including two high school show choirs, a middle school show choir, a select vocal jazz choir, and various non-competitive and non-auditioned mixed and unisex concert choirs. CenterStage is Albertville’s foremost competitive choral ensemble. CenterStage competes throughout the southern and midwestern United States and has won many Grand Championships through the years, though their primary focus is entertainment. With this goal in mind, CenterStage has taken a less traditional “theatrical” approach to their productions in recent years, incorporating original storylines, casts of characters, elaborate costuming, and interactive sets.
The ACDA Southern Division Conference will take place March 5-8, 2014, in Jacksonville, Florida. You can register NOW.
