THE BOYS CHORUS OF BAK MIDDLE SCHOOL OF THE ARTS
The Boys Chorus of Bak Middle School of the Arts is made up of singers in grades 6–8. They rehearse every other day within the block schedule that Bak MSOA utilizes. The Boys Chorus sings a diverse body of repertoire covering many styles of music from around the world. The curriculum for this class focuses on developing proper vocal technique while helping the boys work their way through the voice changes that occur at their age. In addition to vocal technique, ear training and musicianship skills are encouraged and practiced. The Boys Chorus performs at the three main concerts produced by the vocal department each year as well as the district music performance assessments. While many of the members of the Boys Chorus are vocal majors at Bak, several come from other art majors such as band, strings, keyboard, dance, and visual.
The ACDA Southern Division Conference will take place March 5-8, 2014, in Jacksonville, Florida. You can register NOW.
