Wayzata Community Church (UCC) Chancel Choir is a select 50-voice auditioned choir that sings excellent choral literature primarily for worship. An expression of our faith, our song is a gift from and an offering to God. Current repertoire includes Matthew Everett, Tomas Luis de Victoria, John Rutter, Handel, Johann Ludwig Bach, J. Aaron McDermid, Jean Berger, Daniel Kallman, Heinrich Schütz, Kenneth Jennings, Ola Gjeilo, W.A. Mozart, Benjamin Britten, J. S Bach and Alex Schumacher.
The choir also collaborates regularly with Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, WCC orchestra in residence. Recent collaborations include Bach St. John Passion, Britten Rejoice in the Lamb, Poulenc Gloria, Rutter Requiem, Saint-Saëns Christmas Oratorio, Haydn Harmoniemesse, and Curtis Kettler Nothing is Silent Nothing is Dark, commissioned for WCC Chancel Choir and WSO by Robert Parish.
