The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus is searching for a talented and motivated individual to join their artistic staff as Assistant Artistic Director for their 25th season, commencing August 1, 2014. The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus was formed in 1990 and maintains the vision of its founding members to foster increased recognition, understanding and acceptance of gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender persons.
The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus creates innovative, entertaining and provocative performances that enhance the contribution of the arts in the Columbus and Central Ohio communities and that honor, preserve and expand the artistry of the TTBB chorus.
The Assistant Artistic Director will assist the Artistic Director during Sunday evening rehearsals and concert production weeks. The AAD will serve as assistant accompanist for the ensemble to serve as needed and assist the AD with administrative tasks. The AAD will have podium time with the chorus and conduct selections at concerts.
Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree in music education/performance. Prior choral conducting experience is required, and prior experience with a TTBB chorus is preferred. Experience in choral/instrumental arranging is preferred and encouraged.

This is a salaried position. Work load will average 10 hours per week at a yearly salary of $6,000.
