The Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills seeks a part-time organist/collaborative pianist to play 3-4 services a month for Sunday morning worship. Duties include hymn playing (primarily at the organ), special service music such as Preludes, Postludes, and Anthems, and collaborative work with our adult choir (mainly at the piano).
Services are from 10:30-11:30 each Sunday morning with a 9-10 AM rehearsal on the two Sundays each month the choir sings. Our church year runs from September through June with lay-led services (no staff or organist) in July and August.
Compensation is commiserate with experience. The church keyboardist also has first-bid rights for any weddings/events that take place in the church and will be compensated by the renters/congregants directly. All are welcome to apply. Degree candidates, AGO certificate holders, or persons with earned degrees in organ/church music are strongly preferred.

The lofted organ, Opus 70 of the Andover Organ Company, Inc, of Methuen, MA, was built in 1971 and its installation completed on February 25, 1972. It has 1564 pipes, 22 stops, and 32 ranks on its three divisions, Swell, Great, and Pedal. The key action is mechanical, the stop action and combination action are electrical. Two well-maintained Steinways are located in both the Chapel and Sanctuary.
