Reports to: OrchKids Artistic Director, Site Coordinator, and Choir Department Chair
Classification: Independent Contractor
Hours: After-school hours during the September – May school year. During school hours in the June – July Summer Session.Some evening and weekend commitments.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

The Choir Conductor leads the OrchKids choral ensembles in accordance with the mission and educational goals of the OrchKids program. Working with students in large vocal rehearsals of 30 – 40 students, the Choir Conductor is responsible for selecting repertoire and developing curriculum in collaboration with OrchKids choir faculty. In addition to ensuring the highest quality music experience for students, the Conductor also facilitates positive individual, family, and community growth through guidance and role modeling.
The Choir Department Chair works with artistic staff from other departments to develop and ensure the success of programmatic/pedagogical goals. The Department Chair also maintains clear communication between department instructors and artistic staff.
