Choir and Sitar

I have a sitar player in my theory class.  Any compositions for choir + sitar?
A stretch, I know, but open to ideas.

Hi Virginia,
I have a piece called "World of Many Colors" which uses Tanpura, but could also be adapted for sitar. Although the piece is currently scored in Fm it could be adapted to D or a key more suited to sitar. My original idea was to have sitar on this piece, so I would be happy to adjust key as needed. This live video starts just before the choir comes in so you can see how the sitar might play an alaap (or intro part) if desired instead of the orchestral prelude. I have found this piece to be totally do-able for school or community-level skilled choirs.

One piece that comes to mind that you might include sitar with is "Dravidian Dithyramb" by Victor Paranjoti.  You might also contact Ron Jeffers of Earthsongs Music Publishers for suggestions.
