I'm looking for SATB arrangements (could be more divisi) of the national anthem.. Something that is innovative, interesting, and fresh. This is for my new choir's inaugural concert in New Zealand. Don't worry, we are singing the NZ national anthem as well. Any thoughts? ... See MoreSee Less

Kenneth R. DavisJust offering my opinion: stick with a traditional, dignified, four-part, setting; innovative, interesting and fresh is not necessary.

Dale MillerMy absolute favorite setting is the Lloyd Pfautsch arrangement he did for the Dallas Civic Chorus back in the 1960s. It is a crowd pleaser.

Jonathan TalbergI suggest Tim Sharp's new arrangement. We just read it at the California Summer Conference. It works for all groupings (SATB, SSA, TTB, BARBERSHOP, etc.). There's also instrumentation available. We're going to teach it to all our choirs at CSULB in the fall. Good luck!

Richard HugginsMy arrangement is free of charge as my response to the 9/11 tragedy. It's not all that innovative in the first half but gets more so in the 2nd half and has an interesting ending. You can download it for SSATTB or SATB and hear it sung at the following link: www.richardhuggins.com/anthem.htm
