A two-for-one concert of organ and choral music will be performed for the public on SATURDAY, AUGUST 6, at 7:00 pm at the United Church of Christ in Keene. Organ concert artist, William Ness from Pakachoag Music School in Worchester, will perform selections by Bach, Sowerby, Müthel, Bowen and Vierne on the three-manual Berkshire organ. Following a brief intermission, Dr. E. Wayne Abercrombie, Emeritus Professor and former Director of Choral Activities at U-MASS-Amherst will lead a regional chorus in the Fauré Requiem. Soloists for the Requiem are Matthew Leese, baritone and Esther Rhodes, soprano.
The concert is hosted by the Monadnock Chapter of the American Guild of Organists for the purpose of bringing world-reknowned concert artists to the Monadnock Region for the education and enjoyment of participants and concert-goers. Concert admission at the door is $15 for adults, free for children under 17. Bring your family for a wonderful evening of music!
