The Colorado Hebrew Chorale’s signature Chanukah community event, “Festival of Lights” returns to downtown Denver on Thursday, December 15, 2016, 6 p.m. inside the newly refurbished McNichols Building adjacent to Civic Center Park. “Festival of Lights” hit the road and went to Boulder in 2015 while the McNichols Building was under renovation, so everyone is excited to return to this historic Denver venue. This year’s program, which is free and open to the public, will include seasonal songs in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, and English, a tribute to the famed Yiddish author, Sholem Aleichem (1859-1916), whose stories of Tevye the Milkman became the basis for the Broadway musical, “Fiddler On the Roof”, and holiday sweets! Support for “Festival of Lights” has been provided by a Cultural Partnership with the McNichols Building and Denver Arts and Venues, JEWISH Colorado, and SCFD, the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District. Online RSVPs encouraged at www.coloradohebrewchorale.org. Info: (303)355-0232
