VOICES Chorale, one of the area’s outstanding choruses with over 60 members performing regularly in the Princeton area and Bucks County, PA, has openings in all voice parts for its 2011-2012 concert season. Tenor and basses are especially needed. A few openings in Sotto Voce, the chamber chorus, are also available. “ONCE IN ROYAL DAVID’S CITY” on December 17 & 18: A 70 minute concert of holiday favorites from England, Scotland, and Wales spanning several centuries
“IRISH HEARTSONG” on March 10 & 11: An all-Irish concert, with a return visit of Irish Singer Gerry Dignan
“TWO TO TANGO” on June 2 & 10: A joint concert featuring the BUCKS COUNTY CHORAL SOCIETY and VOICES
Other events include a Fall Cabaret, a Spring Cabaret, and a Young Composer Concert in April. A 10 day-concert tour to Argentina is planned with the Bucks County Choral Society at the end of June.

VOICES Chorale, founded in 1992, provides outstanding performance opportunities at an unusually high artistic level for community singers. Its repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary, from spirituals and show music to the sacred and classic. In addition to singing the world’s greatest choral music, VOICES offers singers the opportunity to develop an understanding of vocal technique, music history, and performance style. The chorus draws primarily from Bucks County and Mercer County. Most singers are adults, though dedicated high school students are welcome. In addition, VOICES offers two unique outreach programs: interactive concerts at assisted living facilities and an Annual Song Writing Contest for Children ages 5-12. In addition, solo, duet, and ensemble opportunities are possible at the outreach concerts and in VOICES’ Fall and Spring Cabarets!
Weekly rehearsals take place on Mondays from 7:30 – 9:45 pm at Music Together Community Room, 225 Pennington-Hopewell Rd (Rte 654), Hopewell, NJ 08525. They will resume on September 12, 2011.
