SATB: with Concert Band
Thanks to all those that responded. It certainly give me a great list to work from.
from Wayland Rogers PIPING DOWN THE VALLEYS WILD for SATB Chorus and Concert Band by Wayland Rogers. 10 minutes, on a poem of William Blake. Perusal score available from the composer. Due to be published by Ludwig Publishers by the end of the year.
from Jonathan Babcock Its not scary, but a GREAT piece for band and chorus in the Wilhousky "Battle Hymn of the Republic." Its challenging, but not impossible, and its a great crowd pleaser.
from houchins(a)startrekmail.com I don't know how appropriate it is for Halloween, but I thought the Hal Leonard "Hymn to the Fallen" from the film "Saving Private Ryan" by John Williams was quite riveting. Check the HAl Leonard catalog for the product number, or call JW Pepper.
from Ken Kanger I have a new four movement (20 minute) composition for wind ensemble and chorus that was commissioned by the Kent State University Wind Ensemble and Chorus. Any of the movements could easily be performed separately
from Terry Barham & David Griggs-Janower Persichetti's Celebrations for Wind Ensemble and SATB chorus is a wonderful work.
from Mr. ED You might consider performing "Circus Band" by Charles Ives.
from rg_mateo(a)pacbell.net Wind Ensemble/Band Repertoire David Wallace and Eugen Corporon
It includes titles of works for band and chorus.
