Hello list, I'm a vocal music education major at the University of Maine
and through talking with the head of our library and the director of
choral activities, I've generated enough interest to allocate some of the
budget for buying instructional conducting videos for the library. I
have a decent list going but the more I ask for, the more they are likely
to give, so I'm looking for any recommendations of videos to help with
conducting technique. They can be directly instructional, or recordings
of masters at work. I would prefer choral, but orchestral is welcome too.

Here is what I have so far:

Robert Shaw: Preparing a Masterpiece (vol 1-8)
Donald Neuen's 2 DVDs on conducting technique and 5 on rehearsal technique
James Jordan's Evoking sound
Allan McMurray: Conducting From The Inside Out
Dr. Timothy Mount: Fine Tune Your Conducting Skills
Roger Eichenberger / Andre Thomas: What They See Is What You Get

any other suggestions are welcome, preferably with a link where they can

Here is the final list I sent in to my professors and the library for acquisition. It has been
approved and I thank the list for the suggestions, specifically the Warland and Hasseman videos.

The Faculty requested that I give an initial $500 list of first choice stuff and so the list is split into
2 halves.
