Cantus Angeli - International Festival of Choir 21-25 October 2009 Italy

 

The International Festival of Choirs "Cantus Angeli" is an event that improves the meeting and the comparison between vocal, choral, folk, national and international bands.

 

Every group performs his musical repertoire because the Festival is not a competition but it encourages the comparison between cultures and different musical traditions.

 

Born in 2006, the Festival "Cantus Angeli"  won a great success thanks to the participation of groups from different countries of the world,  getting the satisfaction of all participants for the organizational formula that combines love for music to the beauty of a country rich in history, art and culture.

 

The festival suggests  participation in concerts and performances in theatres, churches and amphitheatres in the same places of guided tours chosen for the particular acoustic characteristics or to enhance the repertoire of each band.

 

Locations such as the wonderful countries of the “Amalfitana Coast”, the mythical “Cilento” and “Vallo di Diano” will be the privileged places for performances of the groups.

 

Participation in the Festival is open to all vocal, choral and musical bands without restriction of age, repertoire, style, or genre, with or without accompanying instruments. It is always welcome, as far as possible, the performance of some typical composition of the country of origin.

 

The spirit of the Festival "Cantus Angeli" is to create a culture of meeting, feelings of brotherhood, unity and friendship between the different chorus, they will be at the same time players and spectators.
