Southminster Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, Illinois, seeks an experienced choral director to lead the traditional music program.  Responsibilities include directing a choir of approximately 12 volunteer voices in one weekly service at 9:00 am.  There is one weeknight rehearsal and a brief rehearsal on Sunday morning before the service.

 

Time requirements constitute about one-quarter of full-time employment, and compensation is competitive.  The church has a 30-rank, fully encased Buzard pipe organ (1992) and a Kawai RX3 grand piano (2003).

 

If interested and qualified, the successful candidate will have the option of directing a small bell choir for additional compensation.  The bell choir rehearses once per week and participates in nine services throughout the year.
