Schola Cantorum on Hudson Celebrates American Music with Season Showcase Concerts

Schola Cantorum on Hudson embraces all-American music for its 15th Anniversary Season: Celebrating American Stories. In its first concert of the season, entitled Season Showcase, the critically acclaimed 35-voice choral ensemble performs a preview of selections from each of its three upcoming concerts, as well as a sampling of songs from the Schola Sings Solo Recital Series. Under the direction of Artistic Director and Founder Dr. Deborah Simpkin King, the program features a work by Schola Cantorum on Hudson's 2009-2010 Featured Composer Dr. Roger H. Wesby, Director of Choral Activities at Wagner College.

The Season Showcase concert is being presented on two consecutive days: the first performance will be on Saturday evening, October 17th, 2009, at 8:00 p.m., at St. John's in the Village, 218 West 11 th Street, New York, New York; and the second performance will be on Sunday afternoon, October 18, 2009, at 4:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 440 Hoboken Avenue at Five Corners in Jersey City, New Jersey.

All tickets for this season's performances are priced at $15 in honor of the group's 15th Anniversary.
