If you are in the area... there will be a (free) showing the documentary film, "Libero Canto" at Rye Country Day School in Rye, NY on Monday, October 19, 2008 at 3:45 PM in the Performing Arts Center theater. This film, by documentary filmmaker Andrea Simon, shows several singers in lessons and performances, as well as in private interviews. It is about the work of Edvin Szamosi and his students, and his approach to breathing, and of helping singers to release emotional and physical tensions and obstacles to free singing. It is very interesting. Anyone who breathes should see this film!
