Josquin Ecce tu pulchra es: looking for editionDate: October 20, 2009
Hello,
Does anybody have a PD edition they can share, or have pub. info on the title referenced above? It's not available on cpdl or Handlo. Thanks, Paul

Paul,
I have a very old hand-written edition that I did in graduate school (1975?), starting on octave B's. I can fax it to you if you think it's worth a look. It's neatly done but a little crowded between systems, and I did use older notation (the first alto note is a double whole note, for example), so I won't be offended if you don't want to use it.

Since you asked for publication info, it's supposedly published by Anglo-American Music. I say "supposedly" because I don't find it on their own website.

Hi, Paul.
The first place I would look, given access to a decent university music library, would be in the Josquin collected works. When I was at Indiana 30 years ago, we did quite a bit using that as a source. Of course in the past 30 years there has been more scholarship as to whether Josquin actually composed certain pieces, but I'm not up to date on that.

It was available c.1952 in an Erich Katz ed, from Hans Binzer,NY. One could still be available in Chorwerk 18 ed.Blume, reprinted by Kalmus. A more readable version was edited by John Hetland c.2000 as #90 of the Renaissance Streetsingers series.<www.streetsingers.org>
Good luck
