Commissioned by the Orange County Classic Choral Society, Janiece Kohler, Artistic Director & Conductor, on the occasion of its 50th Anniversary, CCS presents the World Premiere of Steve Margoshes' new work for SATB chorus, narrator, and orchestra MUSICIANS OF THE SUN. The work is based on the children's book of the same title, written and illustrated by Gerald McDermott. These performances are narrated by stage and film actor, Samuel E. Wright (the voice of Sebastian the Crab in Disney's "The Little Mermaid" and as Mufasa in Broadway's "The Lion King").
Two performances, November 1 and November 8, 2009 at 4:00PM, at the United Church of Christ (8 Old Dominion Road) in Blooming Grove , New York. The composer, Steve Margoshes, known by many for "Fame - The Musical", will be in attendance. Concerts are open to the public without charge.
