C4 Presents New Choral Music in NYC, 19 and 21 November

Location: New York, USA
Choir type: Chamber Choirs and Vocal Ensembles
Voicing: Mixed
C4: the Choral Composer/Conductor Collective

C4’s November concert features eight conductors leading works by C4 composers Christopher Baum, Jonathan David, David Rentz, Joseph Rubinstein, and Karen Siegel, as well as Alexander Dmitriev, Elliot Z. Levine, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Lansing McLoskey, and Bernard Rands. C4 performs only music written in the last twenty-five years—highlights of the upcoming program include Siegel’s hilarious Confessions from the Blogosphere and Obsessions from the Twittersphere; David’s ode to a paper-training pet tortoise, Slow Learning; settings of five titans of 20th-century literature—Brodsky, Cummings, Joyce, Lawrence, and Yeats; and Mäntyjärvi’s wild romp through the Laplands of northern Finland. We hope you can join us for an eclectic evening of unforgettable new music.
