On December 5th & 6th at 2:00 pm, the Inland-Empire-based Southwest Women's Chorus presents its annual Christmas concert at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater, 42051 Main Street, Temecula, CA (www.TemeculaTheater.org). The highlight of this concert is the local debut of the Porpora Magnificat, with keyboard strings and live cello. A wide range of familiar and unfamiliar carols are being presented in addition to our usual audience sing-along. This year's invited children's choir is the Wings of Praise gospel group. Our program also highlights the original long out of print SSA version of Little Drummer Boy (entitled Carol of the Drum) and the rousing Stephen Hatfield song: The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy. The Director of the Wings of Praise group, an accomplished gospel soloist, will join us on He Never Failed Me Yet.
