Composers Ola Gjeilo (New York) and Elizabeth Alexander (Minneapolis) have been chosen by the 2009-10 ACDA Women's Commission Consortium to compose two new works for women's choir. The consortium is comprised of twenty-three women's choirs from across the United States and Canada. Each member choir will perform their own premier performance of the commissioned works, which will be delivered in the spring and summer of 2010. For more information on the project go to www.acda.org. Debra Spurgeon, National Women's Repertoire and Standards Chair, is the project coordinator.
