Conduct B Minor Mass with Rilling at Oregon Bach Master Class

Location: Oregon, USA
Choir type: Professional Choirs
Prepare and conduct performances of Bach's B Minor Mass and the Orchestral Suites under the direction of Helmuth Rilling, Jeffrey Kahane, and Monica Huggett at the Oregon Bach Festival Master Class in Conducting, June 22 - July 11, 2010 in Eugene.

Applications are now being accepted for the class, where you'll lead both the OBF Orchestra, Chorus and soloists, and the period-instrument specialists of the Portland Baroque Orchestra, in two weeks of rehearsals and seminars, culminating in six public performances.

All participants live and work alongside the resident chorus, orchestra, and artistic staff, creating further opportunities for collaboration, friendships, and artistic growth. And the class fees include tickets to attend concerts featuring such musicians as Rilling, Thomas Quasthoff, Bobby McFerrin, and Anton Armstrong.

The class is open by audition to 14 participating conductors and to all applicants as auditors.
