Dear Grant,

 

I have two male voice pieces which are on the theme of love (if slightly comedically)! 'Canst thou love me lady' is a setting of a funny 19th century poem for TTBarB and 'If ever I marry' is for TBar B. Both are amusing but each is basically a 'love' song of sorts. For a true love song I would suggest 'The Water of Tyne' for SATB (with divisions). I can send you the first two settings which are self-published but 'The Water of Tyne' is available through Alliance Music (Houston, Tx). E mail me if you are interested at: smacmus(a)yahoo.com.

 Stephen Hatfield has a great piece called I think "The Next Room" for women.  Essentially talks about how big hearted women are even when they get dumped on. Really fun.  would partner well with men singing Billy Joel's "And So It Goes."
