Morna Edmundson, Artistic Director of Elektra Women’s Choir,  will lead a 3-hour workshop for conductors of any skill level and type of choir. The workshop will include discussion of warm-ups and vocal technique, conducting technique, and repertoire selection. 

 

This workshop is offered as part of Elektra’s 2010 Conductor’s Mentorship Program and is open to anyone interested in choral conducting. In creating the mentorship program within the context of Elektra, it is hoped that the participating conductors will become more familiar with both the repertoire and sound of a women’s choir and be inspired to work in this genre.
