The Mount Union Choir is among the nation's oldest choral ensembles, tracing its roots to 1896.  One of five choral organizations at Mount Union College, the Mount Union Choir is the College's premiere choral ensemble.  The Choir has enjoyed an international reputation, concertizing and earning critical acclaim throughout Europe and the Middle & Far East.  They performed Ireland in 2007 and have most recently been honored with an invitation to sing Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican in the spring of 2011.  The ensemble's 54 members represent virtually every academic department within the College.  They are chosen by competitive audition and maintain a demanding schedule of daily rehearsals, regular sectionals, and concert tour performances.  The Mount Union Choir is under the direction of Dr. Scott W. Dorsey, Director of Choral Activities at Mount Union College.

The Choir's repertoire spans nearly a millennium of music history, with something for virtually everyone – from the sublime to the silly. The 2010 tour program features examples of 12th-Century chant, 16th- & 17th-Century polyphony, 20th- & 21st-Century choral masterpieces, American folk music, and a surprise or two.

Mount Union College has been recognized as one of the nation's best institutions of higher education.  Founded in 1846, Mount Union College is a four-year, fully accredited, liberal arts college situated on a beautiful 115-acre campus in Alliance, Ohio.  Mount Union College currently has an enrollment of 2,200 students from 27 states and 18 countries.  The College's 13,000 alumni reside in 33 countries and all 50 states.
