1st INTERNATIONAL CHORALE COMPOSITION COMPETITION - 2010

Location: Italy
MONTEVERDI CHORAL Cles, Trento, Italy
The competition is open to composers from any country with no limit of age.
 
Entries will be received no later than March 31, 2010 (the postmark shall prevail)
Mixed a cappella choirs:
- the composition must accompany the literary excerpt ‘The 33rd Song’ taken from the Paradiso of the ‘Divine Comedy’ written by Dante Alighieri. 

Children a cappella choirs:
- the composition should be a strictly vocal composition (a cappella) written for a children’s choir.
- composer’s are free to use any lyrics they choose.

During the final phase of the competition (November 2010) , choirs selected by the organizing committee of the competition will publicly perform the entries selected for the final judgement and a winner will be proclaimed. The entries will be judged based on the quality of the composition and not based on the quality of the performances.
The winners of the two categories will receive a 1st prize award in the sum of 1000Euro and their composition will be published.
