JUDITH CLURMAN, an Emmy-nominated, world-renowned conductor and vocal educator, leads this 3-day intensive program in the heart of New York City. Together with today’s finest conductors, composers, scholars, choreographers and vocal pedagogues, this unique program will provide a hands-on approach between the faculty and students.
Participants will be encouraged to perform and conduct for each other; exchange ideas on the current and future choral and vocal trends, participate in discussions, and have fun learning. Conductors, music educators, singers and composers are encouraged to attend.
Judith Clurman, an Emmy-nominated, world-renowned conductor and vocal educator, is known for her devotion to innovative programming and artistic excellence across a diverse musical spectrum. She was the Director of Choral Activities at The Juilliard School from 1989-2007 and has worked with prestigious orchestras, dance companies, and music festivals across the country and has conducted commissions and premieres by America’s most revered composers. She is currently the Vocal Arts Consultant, Coach and Chorus Master for the New York City Ballet.
