Hi! I am conducting a small vocal group with 5 girls ( 4 -14 y.o. and 1- 12 y.o. )

About 3 weeks ago, we where in a small performing art festival. and we got a lot of good feedback, like great head voice, the girls sounded "safe" in their singing, and they sung like one.

The judges ment we needed to work on diction, and more SSA etc songs. They also mention to work more on the other voice ( I am not quite shore what they meant by that... )

 

Any tips to how I can improve the girls diction and the other? ( mention over )

 

I have 2 of the singers who sometimes have troubles going under/over the tone ( any tips for working with this? )

 

Home asigments:

The girls have been told to take with them 2 writing books who they will get homework, feedback etc.

I was thinking they have to write after each practice; what have they done, what they have learned, what was hard etc.

Maybe give them some song analysis? 

Memorizing tekst etc.

 

I was also thinking about writing small things/info about the voice, stress, +++

 

I need some more ideas, and it would be great if you had something to share?
