Looking for tips on what choral warm up and pedagogy book`s to buy?

 Hi!
I have been looking on a few book`s about warm ups  and vocal pedagogy to buy. But I have lost my way in the jungle
( The economy is not that good so I have to choose... )
It would be nice with some input or/and suggestions on this.

I have been looking at " The private voice studio handbook"
" The perfect Blend: Seriously fun vocal warm up`s"  ( both book and dvd)
" The perfect rehearsal ( Timothy Seeling )
and Ice breakers - 60 fun activities to build a better choir

Tounge twisters

Have any of you tried any of this books, and what did you think about them?

Any others suggestions?

I have one vocal group with 5 teen`s, and one children choir ( 1-4 grade ) I am also interested in something for adults

Hope you can help me?

Thank`s

 Hello, Adele.

I have both "The Perfect Blend" and "The Perfect Rehearsal" and find that "The Perfect Blend" is definitely the best of the 2, and is also far and away the best book I have ever bought for choral warm-ups.  His exercises are doable, enjoyable, and musical, and his explanations about why you should choose each one are very clear and valid. They are categorized so that if you pick one from each category, you will have laid out a very good and logical progressive warm-up for your rehearsal.  I have seen Tim Seelig work several times, and he is fabulous!  I have not seen the DVD, but I would be willing to guess that it would really give you a good feel for using his book, even though the book is very readable on it's own.  And once you have seen Tim, you can almost picture him reading his book to you out loud!  He has geared his warm-ups towards older students and adults, but I would not hesitate to use many of his suggestions for children as well.

I really like the following books:
*   Group Vocal Technique (vocalise cards and the book) - Frauke Haasemann and James Jordan
*    Choir Builders - Rollo Dilworth (great for younger choirs)
*   Voice Builders fro Better Choirs - Emily Crocker

Hope those help!

I highly recommend "Sing Legato" by Kenneth Jennings and "Building Beautiful Voices" by Weston Noble and Paul Nesheim.

The Ice Breakers is a fun book, but not something to use on a regular basis for rehearsals.  Of the books you've listed, I think The Perfect Blend is the best bet.  Another good source of warmups is Rollo Dilworth's Choral Builders, which has exercises that work with both kids and adults.
