Your list is very limited.  St Cloud State University in Minnesota has an MM in Choral Conducting.  Several of our graduates are either currently in DMA programs around the country, are teaching in colleges, universities, high schools or conducting in churches in several states.
I am sure there are many more MM programs around the country.

Alan,

I would like you to consider adding Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Besides having a great basketbal team, we have a great choral program !

Dr. Eric Stark - Director Butler University Chorale and Indianapolis Symphonic Choir

I see you have not included the University of Texas at Austin, where Dr. James Morrow heads a fine choral music program.  They offer both masters and doctorates in choral conducting, including a six-year old masters program in sacred music, with Drs. Gerre and Judith Hancock.  UT's Chamber Singers have performed for ACDA conventions and have recorded several CDs on Naxos, some in cooperation with the Hancocks.

I have added all these programs that you have suggested. Thank you!

You will want to include the New England Conservatory on your list of institutions that offer an M.M. I'm graduating this year and have had an oustanding experience. It's a small program, so students get a lot of podium time and one on one instruction with faculty. NECmusic.edu

NEC's program is listed!

Alan,

Compiling this list is a great idea.  Thank you for doing so.  In regards to the University of South Carolina I'm almost positive that Joe Modica is finishing his DMA from the University of Southern California, as opposed to the University of South Carolina.  Many schools don't like to hire their own graduates.

I think JModica is finishing his DMA at Southern California, but is now on the faculty at South Carolina....maybe he didn't want to buy new t-shirts, so he's sticking with USC  :)

And the director of choral activities at South Carolina is LARRY Wyatt rather than Lynn, right?

Corrections have been made and Programs have been added. Thank you all.

UCLA also has MM and DMA programs in Choral Conducting.  Don Neuen is the head of the program there.

UCLA has been added. Thank you!

It doesn't appear that the entries are in any particular order.  As more are added, it might get a bit difficult to navigate.

I think this could be a great resource.  Thanks!

I also think so.

University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana: It's Dr. CHESTER Alwes, not Charles.

 Dear Alan,

The University of California at Santa Barbara offers both the MM and DMA in Choral Conducting, as well as a  MM/DMA combined program, which involves three years of course work.  Graduate students get approximately 3 hours of podium time with a choir per week, which is extremely rare, and they graduate with a great deal of conducting experience under their belt.

I (Michel Marc Gervais) serve a Director of Choral Studies at UCSB.  I received a BM in Performance (Piano & Voice) at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada), and studied at the Banff Centre (Piano & Voice), at the Royal College of Music and Swedish Radio with Eric Ericson, and undertook doctoral studies at the University of Paris.  I am founder of Pro Coro Canada (one of Canada's three professional choirs) and the two new choir schools at the Château de Versailles (Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles) and Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris and have been at UCSB since 1995.

I would appreciate it if you would consider adding UCSB to your list of MM and DMA programs in choral conducting.  Thank you.  MMG

The College Music Society publishes the "Directory of Music Faculties in College and Universities" that includes an index of graduate degrees and schools that offer
each particular degree.  It is a book; call me old-fashioned.
