CANTARE Houston, under the baton of its founder/conductor Kevin Raymond Riehle closes its Season Seven with a concert of sacred music from the Venetian High Renaissance entitled "The Glories of Venice" Tuesday, May 4 at 7:30pm. The concert is held at the acoustically and visually superb sanctuary of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 5501 Main Street, Houston and features works from the great masters centered at the basilica of San Marco: Willaert, the Gabrielis, Monteverdi, Lotti, and the German Heinrich Schütz. The choir is joined by its accompanist and organist John Markert who will play works by Frescobaldi and Rossi. Tickets are available through CANTARE's secure website, www.CANTAREHouston.org, by phone at 713-724-9648, at the door the evening of the concert. Prices are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
