Philadelphia Church Invites Choirs To sing!Date: May 10, 2010 Views: 2436 Location: Pennsylvania, USA
Small Episcopal Church in Northeast Philadelphia is inviting choirs to participate in Sunday worship services and other events. The church can accommodate up to 30 chorusters and has wonderful people.
Located in the Tacony neighborhood of Philadelphia, it is one of the strongest chruches there.
It is also very welcoming and inclusive.
The Music is led by a very talented Organist who is capable of playing many of the standard pieces of Organ repertoire (such as Widor's "Toccata"). The choir is defunct due to several members having unexpected turns in life. However, the church still values very good music. Hymnody tends to be more traditional, but the church is eager to sing and hear more types (Gospel, Jazz, etc)
Ideally, choirs would come to sing during the services (hymns, etc) and offer an anthem and choral benediction.
The church and choir has several favorite anthems they would love to hear.
The church is willing to host hospitality events for the groups as well.
Interested groups should RSVP immediately!
