Acoustical EngineersDate: May 11, 2010
Dear friends,
My colleagues and I have the pleasure of being in the planning stages of a complete renovation of our primary performing space. I’m writing to the list to ask for your recommendations of acoustical engineers (preferably in the Midwest – we’re located in south central Kansas). If you’ve had personal experience with an acoustical engineer and were happy with the results, I’d love to hear from you at david.gardner(a)sckans.edu. Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't know why the font went big at the end - sorry - don't mean to look like I'm shouting :-)

David: I don't have any specific recommendation, but don't forget that there WERE no acoustical engineers when the great concert halls and opera houses of Europe were built, but they DID design Philharmonic Hall in Lincoln Center, which hasn't been right for half a century!
Ask everyone who bids for references, and check them carefully.

Principal is Dr. Dennis Fleischer. One of the best, and he is also a musician.
