Touring company for Russia

Hello everyone!

We are in the early stages of planning a Youth Choir Tour to Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Voronezh, Russia for 2012, and I am wondering - do you all have recommendations for a tour company? We've always handled our own travel but with the ins and outs of travel in Russia, we're thinking that a professional company may be the way to go. I have contacted ACFEA and am waiting to hear back from them - are there other companies?

A few specifics:
-  We like to sing at a variety of venues from public spaces (concert halls, cathedrals, etc.) to private settings (hospitals, homeless shelters, prisons, children's homes, etc.) We're hoping to have a similar concert line-up in Russia and need a company who is open to all sorts of venues.
-  We offer a "Shadow Trip" for parents/families which allows them to come along on a separate but parallel trip. Typically, they stay in the same hotels as the choir and attend some of the public concerts. Ideally, we'd like a company who can manage both the Choir Tour and Shadow Trip.

Thanks for your ideas, recommendations, etc.!

Sincerely,
Holly

Check  TRC (Tour Resource Consultants)  Contact John McDonnell at JMcDTRC (a)aol.com or 215-570-2522.  They did our trip to Italy with my children's chorus last summer and I can't say enough wonderful things about them.  Everything was so thoughtfully and carefully planned, with attention given to the age of the group as well.  Wonderful venues to sing in, great sites to see that were manageable for the kids.  Fantastic experience overall.

They do have experience in Russia too!  We are leaving tomorrow for a short trip to Canada that they have arranged for us.  Lots of singing in 5 days!! Let me know if you need more information - they have been terrific  to work with!

Hi Holly - My high school choirs have toured with ACFEA almost exclusively and while they are a 'bit' more expensive I believe they are worth it.  Just my "two cents".  Good luck. Dan
