OCDA Board of Directors Meeting
Friday, October 20, 2006
Southern Nazarene University

Board members in attendance: JoAnn Struck, Brent Ballweg, Ramona Cummings, Darla Eshelman, Jan Smith, Susann McDaniel, Carisa Schreiner, Stephania Abell, Bill Perring, Ruiel Doonkeen, Mark Powell, Wes Singleton, Barbara Myers, and John Gerber.

The meeting was called to order by President JoAnn Struck.

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.

The treasurer's report was given by Ramona Cummings. Budget concerns were discussed and a motion to discontinue paying judges mileage for travel to auditions was made and seconded. The motion carried. Motel rooms for judges will still be paid for those who must travel long distances.

The 2007 summer convention was discussed. Schedules, reading sessions and chorus will be juggled to afford maximum time with our clinician, Weston Noble.

The secretary duties will be filled by Barbara Myers, NW Rep, to ease the many resposibilities of the treasurer.

The chair persons for each of the All-OCDA Festival honor choirs reported on their respective choruses--collegiate, junior high, women's, and jazz.

Darla Eshelman reported on the plans for the first OCDA Children's Choir Festival.

John Gerber gave a few pointers for those writing articles for the Sooner Style.

The meeting was adjourned and we toured the new recording studio at SNU.
