Following Board members present: JoAnn Struck, Brent Ballweg, Jan Smith, Wes Singleton, Mark Powell, Linda Pollack, Barbara Myers, Susann McDaniel, Ruiel Doonkeen, Stephania bell, Carisa Schreiner, Ramona Cummings, Charla Dedmon, John Gerber, Marjoleine Gravley, Doug Woolery

The meeting was called to order by Brent Ballweg. Introductions were made and members were asked to fill out information sheets. Minutes from the April 14, 2007 meeting were approved.

The following 07-08 meeting dates were calendared:
FALL - Thursday, October 18, 1:00 PM at SNU or OKC, Western Heights HS
WINTER - Friday, January 11, 10:00 AM at OKC Cox Convention Center
SPRING - Saturday, April 12, 10:00 AM at SNU
SUMMER - before the convention at 3:30 PM

Ramona Cummings distributed the treasurer’s report. Carisa Schreiner made the motion to accept the report and Stephania Abell seconded the motion. Motion carried.

John Gerber reminded everyone that August 1st was the deadline for the fall issue of Sooner Style. The articles are to be sent as an attachment.

JoAnn Struck instructed is to take tickets for door prizes at the sessions for which we are responsible for introductions. Also…remind everyone of the vendors and banquet.

Handouts were given for the All-OCDA Festival dates and location.

Brent Ballweg has secured a two-year contract with the Renaissance and the Marriott Courtyard: $144/quad room…3 comp. suites for the coordinators…3 comp. up-grade kings for the clinicians.

Auditions will be in Moore or Mustang with the concert in Bethany.

Ruiel Doonkeen & Doug Woolery discussed the Jazz Chorus and cut issues. Greg Jasperse will be the clinician.

Marjoleine Gravley reported Tom Wine will be the Junior High Chorus conductor. Charles Robinson will conduct in 09 and Sandra Snow in 10.

The Women’s chorus will be directed by Nancy Cobb Lippens. Paul Graves and Connie Coleman were approved as upcoming coordinators. The Friday evening rehearsal schedule was discussed.

The OCDA Children’s Choir Festival will be April 5, 2008 at the Norman Performing Arts Center. Cristi Miller will be the clinician..

The Board was given a packet of potential convention clinicians for review.

The 08 Board candidates for next Spring will be NW Rep., SE Rep., Senior High Rep., College/University Rep., and Church Rep.

Constitution changes/revisions were tabled.

Jan Smith moved to adjourn and Marjoleine Gravley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
