The Marshall University Chorus is the large, non-auditioned choral ensemble on campus.  Drawing students from all majors and experience levels, the choir, under the direction of Mr. Robert Wray, routinely performs at least two concerts every semester with music ranging from Victoria and Vivaldi to Hogan and Lauridsen.  On April 11, 2010, University Chorus presented the world premier of Langston Hughes’ Dream of Freedom composed by Charleston, WV resident Dr. Evan Mack.  This performance, under the direction of the composer, was given in conjunction with the Birke Symposium sponsored by the MU College of Fine Arts.
