Choral Saturday: A Summer Workshop - August 28, 2010

  • Want to meet other singers in the New York area?
  • Looking to find a choral group to sing with?  
If you answered yes to any of these, then you won’t want to miss the choral workshop hosted by Cappella New York, a prestigious community-professional chorus, with leading New York musicians including Phillip Cheah who conducts the Central City Chorus, Cappella's own Music Director David Enlow and language expert Gerald Richman.
 
The day includes:
  • Sight singing
  • Language refresher
  • Audition preparation roundtable
  • Piece preparation from choral literature, including a performance “just for us”
  • Score and handouts
There will be light refreshments, and, of course, a lunch break – feel free to brownbag or visit any of the great places in the neighborhood.
 
When: Saturday, August 28, 2010, 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
 
Where: Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenue), conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan
 
Cost: $75 (general admission), $40 (under 30 or group of at least 10).
