Clare College, Cambridge, Chicago ConcertsDate: August 16, 2010 Location: Illinois, USA
Three Chicago area performance venues will host the Choir of Clare College (Cambridge) with conductor Timothy Brown. Illinois choir directors will remember Tim as the guest headliner at the Summer IL ACDA ReTreat a few summers ago. You will want to hear him with his choir in person at one of these performances! Clare Choir is truly an exciting choral ensemble, one you and particularly younger choral singers will thoroughly enjoy. The September tour will be Mr. Brown's final tour with Clare, where he has been Director of Music since 1979.
The tour program repertoire includes movements from the Vaughan Williams’ “Mass in g minor”, works by Tomkins, Tallis, Gibbons, Byrd, Faure, Tye, Bach’s “Lobet den Herrn” and “Trois Chansons” of Claude Debussy.
For those of you with choral ensembles, I suggest one of these performances will truly inspire your singers for the remainder of the year. What a wonderful example of superb choral singing for singers to share! Contact each venue for ticket information.
