Westchester (NY) Choruses merge to form the Hudson ChoraleDate: August 17, 2010 Location: New York, USA Choir type: Community Choirs
Hudson Choraleis a brand new chorus in Westchester County, formed in 2010 by joining together two of the oldest choruses in the County: the Westchester Concert Singers and the Choral Arts Society. The chorus’s goal is to provide both audience members and singers with the best possible experience in choral singing; its repertoire will range from the great masterpieces to contemporary compositions.
Both groups have been known over the years for their beautiful interpretations of choral works of all periods. Together, as the Hudson Chorale, they aspire to continued professionalism and the mastering of an even broader range of repertoire. Bringing great choral music to audiences and providing inspirational experiences for choral singers will continue to be the foremost goals of the Hudson Chorale.
Michael Conley, Music Director of the former Choral Arts Society, will continue on as the Music Director of the Hudson Chorale.
We sincerely hope that all our friends and supporters will continue to support us and derive enjoyment from our music-making, and that choral singers will come to us to enrich their lives.
Our new website, www.HudsonChorale.org, is currently under development. Please visit the site to find out more about us and the upcoming season.
