The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge, will sing a program of sacred music at 2 west suburban Chicago locations, September 20 and 22.
The choir, under the direction of Timothy Brown, will tour the U.S. in September. This will be the final tour with Mr. Brown, who has been Director of Music at Clare since 1979. The tour program repertoire includes movements from the Vaughan Williams’ “Mass in g minor”, works by Tomkins, Tallis, Gibbons, Byrd, Faure, Tye, Bach’s “Lobet den Herrn” and “Trois Chansons” of Claude Debussy.
Admission at each venue is $15. Proceeds from ticket sales at both concerts will go in support of refugee settlement and services in the west suburbs.
