Greetings from Olympia's Daughters, all female A Cappella ensemble! We are entering our 21st year of making beautiful music together! We rehearse in Summit, NJ on Monday evenings, and welcome all of you to arrange to visit us. Perhaps a joint venture at some point??? (www.olympiasdaughters.info)

We are writing to invite singers and music lovers of all experience levels to join us for a very special Gospel Singing Workshop on Saturday, October 16 from 10am until 5pm in Clark, NJ. The workshop will be facilitated by Sister Alice Martin, founder and Pastor of Voice of Praise Worldwide Ministries in Philadelphia. (www.voiceofpraiseworldwideministries.com) She will be accompanied by her brother, Fatty on keyboards. They are both AWESOME!

This exciting day will include a morning session of learning and singing with Sister Alice and her fantasic brother, Fatty (keyboard), a catered lunch accompanied by a mini concert by Olympia's Daughters and The Prayer and Praise Fellowship Singers, and then an afternoon session with Sister Alice and Fatty.

Can you please share the attached flyer with your members and ask them to share it with whomever they feel would enjoy this joyous event. My vision is to fill the space with singers from all walks of life, and with Sister Alice and Fatty's help we can strengthen our communities through our shared love of music. People of all faiths (or none at all) and all walks of life are encouraged to participate. ALL are welcome!

GOSPEL SINGING WORKSHOP

Presented by Sister Alice Martin

A phenomenal teacher, she was the musical instructor for the late "Queen of Gospel," Marion Williams, and her Marion Williams Singers. Sister Alice Martin is the pastor and founder of Voice of Praise Worldwide Ministries, and runs a youth and young adult mentor program with ex-offenders in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In this fun and joyous workshop Sister Alice Martin will transform us from a group of people who never sang before into a high energy Gospel Choir! There is no previous singing experience necessary and people of all faiths will feel welcome in her presence.

The day begins with a morning session of learning songs and singing, followed by a catered lunch. During the lunch break we will enjoy two mini concerts performed by Olympia’s Daughters A Cappella Ensemble and The Prayer and Praise Fellowship Singers. The afternoon is more learning and singing with Sister Alice.
