Taking place in Los Angeles on Friday, April 29, 2011 and Saturday, April 30, 2011, the AMP Invitational for Mixed High School Choirs promises to be an unparalleled experience for all invited choirs!  Day One Events will take place aboard the incomparable art-deco elegance of the Queen Mary.  After their adjudicated performances in the regal Grand Salon, each participating Choir will go with one of COA's nationally-recognized AMP Invitational Clinicians (Jo-Michael Scheibe, Don Brinegar, Bruce Mayhall) for a full one-hour clinic based specifically on the performance.  Each Choir will also benefit from a number of workshops running on board throughout the day.  Day Two will be the AMP Invitational’s Massed Choir Rehearsal and Benefit Concert Performance at the world-famous Shrine Auditorium… with AMP Invitational Master Conductor, Eric Whitacre.  Net proceeds from ticket sales to the Massed Choir Benefit Concert will go to help The Harmony Project in their mission to bring music education and programs to at-risk youth in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
