The Boston Choral Ensemble—Boston's premiere chamber choir—announces its 4th Annual Commission Competition.

 

Composers of any age or nationality are encouraged to submit three work samples along with a short application in order to be considered for the commission and prize of US$1,400 and inclusion in our June 2011 public performances. The winner will write a new work for mixed voices and percussion to be performed by the Boston Choral Ensemble at the conclusion of its 2009–2010 season.

 

Application consists of 3 work samples, a short proposal for a work to be written, a US$25–$30 application fee, a completed online application form, a short biography, optional recordings, and a works list. Submissions must be postmarked or emailed by October 20, 2010.
